A plunging darkness - where a dot disperses a line in a voluminous circle, folding the fire of a living time.
-by Meena Chopra
This is my first ever abstract artwork from where my jouney to the world of subtlety began. It has been an inspiration, a guiding force and a reference point to me in my progression as an artist always. I never wanted to part with it earlier but now with passing time and with gaining maturity a feeling of self detachment is developing within. Now I am willing to part with it.
It has been displayed in many prestigeous galleries since 1986 in India (Delhi and Mumbai) then in UK (London) and in Canada (Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon)
An adapted version of this painting has been used for the cover of my book of poems "Adieu to the Dawn" published in 2010.
This work of mine has been reviewed and published many times in many art and literary journals also in Toronto Star in 2010.
